Fleece is more preferred in bed and quilt making because it is coarse, long and has low felting ability. The fleece feature provides a special advantage in wicking away rain before it reaches the skin. When the fleece is long, the bangs can cover the eyes to the extent of obstructing vision. Its meat is delicious.
It is grown in mountainous, wooded, humid and cold environmental conditions. Transhumance tradition is common in its cultivation. Two shearings can be applied per year.
